I fell immediately in love with this shot, so I hope I can find words to express what I like about it.
As always, I'm an instant sucker for urban shots, this slice of life sort of thing. Architecture makes me swoon, too. On its own, this laundrette and surrounding buildings would make a great photograph.
The inclusion of the man, however, adds a sort of 'real' and tangible element to it. Much more than a flat building, its an environment and a place where things happen. Depth.
The scenery looks rustic, and yet the contemporary man provides good juxtaposition.
The interior detail is symmetrical and continuous. Great.
And you know, for some reason the slight tilt of the shot makes me like it more.
